Senator Ron Wyden warned that hundreds of US government websites do not fully protect visitors’ online data. This could allow hackers and foreign spies to see who visits these sites.
His team found more than 350 websites without a key security tool. These include an FBI tip line and a suicide prevention hotline for veterans.
Wyden asked US government agencies to make this security tool required for all government websites and cloud services.
