Chukwuemeka Amachukwu, 40, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud. From 2019 to 2023, he hacked US tax firms, stole personal data and ran fake investment schemes.
He was arrested in France in 2023 and sent to the US in 2025 to face charges.
The court also ordered him to pay $3.65 million to victims and give up $10.85 million linked to the case.
