A phone theft in London reportedly led to around $200,000 in cryptocurrency being stolen from a victim near London Bridge.
According to reports, the thieves managed to access the victim’s Phantom wallet and sell a large amount of ALLINU, representing around 0.6% of the token’s total supply, in just two transactions.
Funds from MetaMask may also have been affected, but the exact amount is still being investigated.
The incident is another reminder of the risks of keeping crypto wallets on your phone, even when security features such as Face ID are enabled.
