A new underground darknet marketplace, dubbed **Nexus**, has reportedly put an impressive number of stolen identity documents up for sale. The platform claims to offer more than **153 million U.S. and Canadian driver’s licenses**, as well as millions of ID cards, travel documents, and health insurance cards. According to KrebsOnSecurity, some of this data may have come from an identity verification company based in Louisiana, although this source has not yet been confirmed. The case quickly drew the attention of the **FBI**, and shortly after the information was published, the Nexus website went offline. This incident serves as yet another reminder of the considerable value of personal data to cybercriminals and the potentially serious consequences of a massive identity leak.
