On September 4, 2026, a newly created crypto wallet reportedly turned $2,972 into more than $2.1 million in less than 12 hours by investing early in MEME, a meme coin launched on Robinhood Chain. The trader bought 16.11 million MEME tokens for $2,972, later sold 750,000 tokens for around $85,300, and still held 15.36 million tokens worth approximately $2.03 million at the time of the report. The huge price increase was linked to a public dispute between AMC CEO Adam Aron and Robinhood over tokenized AMC shares, which inspired the crypto community to turn “AMC” into the joke “A Meme Coin.” MEME subsequently surged more than 3,100x in a single day, highlighting both the extraordinary profits and extreme risks associated with speculative meme coins.
