Cozy Finance Exploit Drains $170,000

Cozy Finance has once again suffered an attack on the Optimism network, resulting in a loss of approximately $170,000. The attacker reportedly managed to withdraw nearly 163,000 USDC before transferring the funds via a bridge just 13 minutes later. Even more concerning is that the contract used for the attack had been deployed five days earlier, suggesting that the operation was planned in advance. This latest incident comes just over a year after Cozy Finance’s first hack on Optimism, which cost approximately $427,000. This situation inevitably raises questions about the protocol’s security and once again highlights the risks to which DeFi projects remain exposed.
